Hi Folks!
Here comes another testversion of vasFMC 2.0, now with the MS FS2004 gauge included!
-> If you like this software and want to support further development, please consider our donation system: http://forum.vas-project.org/viewtopic.php?id=144
This version also comes with two additional packages containing the Project Airbus A319 and A330 models having the vasFMC gauge integrated into the Ken Mitchel Airbus panel. After installing the vasFMC gauge distribution and at least one Airbus package you can fire up your FS2004 and have some fun! ![]()
Additionally there is also a great new HTML documentation available for vasFMC 2.0. Its not fully complete yet but nevertheless a must for the new release, take a look to: http://www.vas-project.org/~aw/docu/html/
The new features and bugfixes in of the alpha 7 version are:
* Added energy circle turn display to ND when AP is off and ND range is smaller than 50nm.
* Fixed CDU background color when battery is off and CDU is in display only mode.
* Fixed ADF frequency bug for frequencies with a fractional portion.
* Now each window knows if it was visible the last time vasFMC was shut down
and will restore itself accordingly. If you start up vasFMC for the first
time, only the console window will show up!
* Saved routes can now be deleted from disk via the the DATA -> LOAD ROUTE page.
* Redesigned the ACARAS WEATHER page for enhanced usability.
* The "LOW FUEL" ECAM message will now appear when the amount of fuel on board is smaller
than 10% of the maximum fuel load. The "LAND ASAP" message will appear when lower than 5%.
* When engaging the vasFMC speed/mach hold AT, the AT speed selector will now be set to the current speed/mach.
* Full ICAO routes can now be entered manually on the "MENU->ACARS->ICAO RTE" page as it was possible with vasFMC 1.x.
* Added additional double waypoint checks.
* Added FSUIPC offsets for setting the active vasFMC window.
* Added FCU panel in A-style.
* The mouse cursor will now change it's shape in the CDU and FCU if an action
is available at that point (standalone version).
* Now when established on a localizer, vasFMC sets the HDG bug to the LOC course
as long as vasFMc is coupled and we are heading towards the ILS.
* Integrated the K.Mitchell Airbus panel into vasFMC.
* Made lots of adaptations for the MS FS2004 gauge version of vasFMC.
* Moved some FMC settings from the FMC console to the MCDU MENU -> SETTINGS page.
* Added option to the MCDU MENU -> SETTING page to choose which autothrust
controller should be used, either the build in flightsim controller or the vasFMC autothrust.
* Added option to the MCDU MENU -> SETTING page to display the FCU input areas.
* Added further ECAM messages (doors, ignition, etc.)
* Changed the FMC autothrust controls and added MACH hold mode (see also changed FSUIPC offsets).
* Only airports with runways longer than 2000m will be shown in the ND now.
* Moved the GEO data display on/off switch to the MCEU MENU -> SETTINGS page.
* Added FMA change rectangles to A-style.
* The red stall speed tape will now only be shown when airborne.
* The waypoint constraints in the A-style will now only by shown when CSTR is pressed on the FCU
* Reworked A-style PFD layout.
* The vasFMC setup will not longer overwrite existing navdata when installed over an existing vasFMC installation.
* Added PNF (pilot not flying) callouts.
* Added PERF pages to MCDU with some basic functions.
* Moved the N1 hold value from the MCDU PROG page to the MCDU PERF/TAKEOFF page.
* The A-style altimeter setting will now blink when above the transition
altitude after takeoff and not set to STD. It will also blink if set to STD
and if you are below 2500ft radar alt.
* The request for routes from VROUTE can be restricted to only request routes for the installed AIRAC.
Be aware that VROUTE only supports AIRAC 0608, the newest AIRAC and the 2nd newest AIRAC.
* Added reverser display to ECAM.
* Added direct keyboard input hotspot to the gauge version MCDU display, click
with the left mouse button.
* Added HTML documentation from Guy Finney.

As there are actually no B-style CDU currently available, here is an update of my CDU template. The no-black-display bug is now fixed as well as to tight corners of the screen. The picture should be put into (Program files?)\vasfmc-2.0a7\graphics\mcdu folder. Have fun ![]()

Hello
The new Vasfmc is not compatible with a widescreen Monitor (1680x1050) also in FS set.
The Arc modus of the navigation Display is a Half moon and by the upper EICAS Panel is a problem with the Flaps, the indicator disappears behind a line and is unreadable.
here is a picture:

i hope your fix that, but else verry cool!! thank you for this hot mod :-)

Write about bugs in bugs section.
It was never compatible with widescreen the same as every panel for MSFS not designed as widescreen panel.
If you can change a size of these VasFMC gauges, do it and it should become normal again.

If you have a widescreen monitor, you will have to edit the panel.cfg in order to resize the gauges accordingly. I will not add a widescreen config.

Because the panel itself does not support widescreen and will be distorted, plus i don't have a chance to test it.

Hi all,
at first: Thank you for this fantastic work !!!!
at second: The A320 ist not my favorite Aircraft, but a A320-Panel in a A300 or A310 ???? never mind.
So can you give me some hints to adapt the gauges in a Panel like the HNAC A300 ?
Thank you.
Regards Klaus

Generally as far as I know Airbus panels for diffent types are quite similar so why don't you use the one compatible with VasFMC.

Yes that's right, but the A300 has most of engine controls in the old "clock style" and that's the difference, the A320 is a little bit to sterile....

Hi all,
at the moment i have integrated the MCDU and the ND in the HNAC panel.
EDIT: PFD works also fine, problem solved. I'm too stupid to copy some things correctly ![]()
If anyone wish to test the A300/310 Panel, please give me an email : Klaus {at} flusi.net
You'll get the reworked panel.cfg
